ExCeL, London

ExCeL London is an international exhibition and convention centre in the Custom House area of Newham, East London. The facility is situated on a 100-acre site on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock in London Docklands, located between Canary Wharf and London City Airport.

Getting to the Venue

By DLR &
Underground

The Docklands Light Railway (known as the DLR) is part of the London Underground network. Two of the stations, Custom House and Prince Regent, are on our campus. Trains pull up at a covered walkway leaving visitors with less than a two minute’s walk to the entrance.

Check your event listing for the entrance for your event. Alight at Custom House for the west entrance and Prince Regent for the east entrance and ICC London.

DLR

DLR services: All trains towards Beckton/Gallions Reach will stop at Custom House and Prince Regent.

The Jubilee Line and the DLR are the quickest routes to ExCeL London.

Alight at Canning Town on the Jubilee Line and change onto a Beckton-bound DLR train for the quick two-stop journey to ExCeL: Custom House for ExCeL (for the west entrance) or Prince Regent for ExCeL (for the east entrance or the ICC London).

By Train

The London Overground, part of the London Underground network, serves a large part of Greater London and parts of Hertfordshire with 112 stations on several routes. The Overground is highlighted in Orange on the Tube map.

The DLR and Jubilee Line can be connected from multiple Overground lines such as Stratford, Canada Water, and Shadwell. It’s also possible to join the Overground and travel to ExCeL London from Euston station.

A choice of 12 trains an hour, each with a capacity of 1,500 people. Check routes for all or part of your journey on the Citymapper app.

Direct links for national travel: Farringdon (for Thameslink services), Paddington (for Reading, Oxford, and the South West) and Liverpool Street (for Stanstead and the east of England).

There are now better connections for international visitors, including a 43-minute direct connection from Heathrow to ExCeL.

By Car

The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) includes ExCeL London. Please visit Transport for London to check whether your vehicle is subject to ULEZ charge.


You can download our parking map which shows you the location of the car park.
There are over 1,800 parking spaces across the Orange car park, located under the venue.

Parking is available on a first come, first served basis, using pay and display. Parking for cars costs £25 for up to 24-hours. Parking is available for cars, transit vans and minibuses up to 3.5T.
Parking for commercial vehicles (those up to 2.8m high) costs £30 for 24-hours. Parking for vehicles over 3.5T/Lorries costs £35.00 for up to 24-hours.  

Our motorcycle parking is free and cannot be pre-booked. Upon entering through West entrance (for entrance to the car park, use ///expect.likes.eager or E16 1XL), please follow one-way system as it will take you to upper level to designated motorcycle bays in Zone 2.

By Plane

London City Airport  is the only airport actually in London, just three miles from Canary Wharf, seven miles from the City and 10 miles from the West End, and linked to all via the Docklands Light Railway.

Dockland Light Railway operates a vehicle from London City Airport to West Silvertown DLR Station every 10 minutes. Tickets cost £1–2 and the journey takes 3 min. Alternatively, Stagecoach London operates a bus from London City Airport to Munday Road Royal Victoria DLR every 15 minutes, and the journey takes 10 min.
