Speaker Bio
Toni Adeniji is an enthusiastic Senior Data Analyst at the BBC. Her interest in the digital world led her to attain a Computer Science degree at The University of Essex. She is known for her inquisitive and dependable nature.
Toni works within the Digital Products function of the BBC. Her main duties involve providing clean data sets and modelling data in a way that empowers the BBC to be data-driven. The ambition is to implement data as a product, by applying product thinking to datasets.
Toni is a member of the Women in STEM community and the Embrace community (a network for BBC colleagues from BAME backgrounds). Externally, she supports the Black in Data initiative through mentoring. She believes in the power of representation and hopes to normalise seeing women of colour in STEM fields. Toni is a born creative; she hosts a podcast encouraging wellness and enjoys graphic designing.
