Jemma is a dynamic and accomplished professional, renowned for her unwavering enthusiasm. With a natural flair for rapid learning, she takes immense pride in delivering an unparalleled level of service.
Her journey started in the RAF Reserves, where she has over 12 years’ experience across 5 aircraft platforms, including the prestigious F-35 Lightning. Throughout her career, she has developed an extensive understanding of supply chain operations and the various IT systems. Her curiosity and passion for technology eventually led her to Nology, where she completed an intensive boot camp.
Currently working as a Hybrid Cloud Platform Automation engineer at QBE, working on an application based on Spotify’s renowned platform, Backstage. The goal is to seamlessly integrate a wide array of developer tools into one unified space, ultimately enhancing the overall developer experience. She is also a dedicated member of the QBE Women in Tech Network, actively advocating for a nurturing and supportive community. Her goal is to create an inclusive environment where anyone with the desire to succeed can flourish.
Jemma wants to inspire the next generation of software engineers and prove that even at the beginning of your story, you can make a difference.
Fun Fact: Jemma still serves in the Royal Air Force Reserves as a Sergeant working in Logistics. Jemma has been able to travel all over the world and in 2021 was listed in the RAF New year’s honours list where she received a commendation for her deployment to the Falkland’s Islands.
