Gursh Mendhir is a forward-thinking technology & innovation leader and currently a Principal at True, the consumer-focused investment and advisory firm that’s reimagining business. True is the future-focused partner for global corporates and household brands such as Marks & Spencer, 7-Eleven, and TJX, helping to navigate uncertainty and drive growth in a net zero world. True’s business model operates at the nexus of venture capital, private equity and innovation, with a holistic approach to building and connecting consumer brands, encapsulating everyone in the industry from startups and growing brands, such as British cycling brand Ribble and workplace mental health platform Unmind.

Her intentional pursuit of a non-traditional path that feels authentic to her has paid off in the form of a rich, diverse experience and fast track to leadership roles. Her career to date has encompassed strategy consulting at Monitor Deloitte and Deloitte Ventures, building corporate venturing teams as Head of Innovation at Virgin Media O2, and now purpose-led innovation work as a Principal at True.

She is particularly passionate about using creativity and change as a catalyst to meaningfully addressing tomorrow’s biggest challenges, and has accelerated innovation and experimentation in the ESG space by creating novel frameworks to approach new venture development and megatrends analysis.
