Speaker Bio
Emily Renny is a Product Director at Checkout.com where she currently leads Alternative Payment Processing, helping merchants grow their businesses through accessing local payment methods across the globe. Emily has over 14 years of experience, of which the past 7 have focused on building and scaling payments products for both SMEs and Enterprise businesses. Before her current role, Emily was responsible for Developer Experience at Checkout.com, and prior to that was Managing Director and Product Director at Egypt’s fastest growing payment facilitator Paymob Accept.
Beyond payments, Emily’s experience spans finance, technology and entrepreneurship, having worked in investment management at Morgan Stanley, cofounded a crowdfunding platform, established a coworking space and led a program supporting social entrepreneurs in Egypt.
Outside of work, Emily can be found singing, reading, being generally silly with her kids and trying to make sure they speak Arabic.
Fun Fact: I lived in Egypt for 10 years and speak fluent Egyptian Arabic.
