Her journey with Vodafone began in January 2023, where she quickly ascended from a Business Product Architect to a Platform Engineering Lead, showcasing her exceptional leadership.
Prior to her tenure at Vodafone, Amaia amassed 20 years of experience in telco and tech companies. Her career spans diverse roles, including positions at system integrators, electronic manufacturers, and Euskaltel. Since 2018, her central focus has been on leading platform engineering teams to enhance the engineering experience and accelerate time to market by championing the adoption of DevOps practices, enabling software engineers to seamlessly harness public cloud infrastructure and services.
Amaia holds degrees in Telecommunications Engineering, Mobile and Wireless Networks, and Organisational Psychology from esteemed institutions like the University of Deusto and Birkbeck University of London. Her global experience, visionary leadership, and dedication to innovation make her a pivotal force driving Vodafone’s digital transformation.
