With over 25 years in the industry, Heather is a well-respected AI leader, known for innovating with data and identifying ways to improve outcomes, quality and efficiency through ethical practices. Her career includes senior roles as a Statistician and Data Scientist within the government, the public sector and industry, specialising in health, telecommunications, insurance and financial domains.

Beyond her role at UST, Heather is a member of the Responsible AI Group at the Intellectual Forum at Jesus College, University of Cambridge, and alongside her UST colleague, Adnan Masood, she is co-author of the 2023 book Responsible AI in the Enterprise, a comprehensive guide to implementing ethical, transparent and compliant AI systems in organisations. Passionate about skill development and democratising AI, Heather is committed to empowering others, particularly women, in the field.
