Olivia is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Personio, where she leads the architecture and development of next-generation payroll systems that streamline HR and finance operations. She continuously pushes the boundaries of innovative software solutions to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and ensure compliance.
Throughout her career, Olivia has made significant contributions at some of the tech industry’s most dynamic companies. At Twitter 1.0, she led initiatives that evolved the media processing infrastructure to align with the industry's media focus and strategic business goals, while also spearheading media machine learning classification systems that safeguarded the platform from harmful activity.
Prior to that, Olivia was the tech lead at Maisie Williams’s creative startup Daisie, where she helped build a social media network for artists from the ground up. Even before that, Olivia worked on the Prime Video team, contributing to the development of core video playback functionality on TVs and set-top boxes.
Olivia began her career at Microsoft, building games for kids on Xbox and enterprise software for Office 365—experiences that helped shape her rigorous standards for quality and engineering.
In her spare time, Olivia is known for her involvement in the Rust game development community, where she has authored multiple books and learning materials for beginners.
