Norma is Group Chief Digital and Information Officer with over 20 years of experience in the field of technology, digital and data. A commercially led technology executive, her mission is to drive business growth by having an unrelenting focus on alignment, outcomes and the customer and colleague experience, which she actions by championing a collaborative and inclusive operating model, with an emphasis on accountability and results.
Norma’s international background – having lived in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and Africa – and high-performance sports mindset, provides a strong foundation which enriches her leadership perspective to drive engagement across global teams. Her background and diverse professional experience has uniquely equipped her to build strong partnerships and to deliver reimagined, sustainable business models powered by technology, digital, data and AI.
She has successfully delivered global, strategic transformative change in FTSE complex organisations. Before her current role as Group CDIO (interim) at Rolls-Royce, Norma was at Thames Water, where she led their digital transformation across the business. Prior to that, she was the Chief Information Officer at National Grid Electricity System Operator, Group Chief Information Officer at Places for People Group, and Global Head of Data Services at British American Tobacco.
Norma gained her hands-on technical expertise at Shell, post her MBA at Imperial College, London, and is driven by making an impact. Norma thrives in organisations that have bold visions and an appetite to transform and to continuously improve.
Alongside her executive role, she is a Non-Executive Director at HSBC Bank Plc and Pod-Point.
