Lorna Armstrong
Lorna Armstrong is a dynamic software engineer with experience at some of the world’s leading tech companies, including Microsoft and Google. Most recently, she was part of Microsoft’s Azure for Operators division, where she delivered impactful, security-focused solutions for telecommunications products.
Beyond her technical accomplishments, Lorna is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. At Microsoft, she was a member of a team that led D&I strategy for a 300+ member organisation. Her advocacy underscores her belief that diverse voices and perspectives are essential to creating lasting, inclusive change within the industry.
Outside of work, Lorna immerses herself in a world of words through reading, creative writing, and studying foreign languages. She also has a deep love for sports, particularly as a lifelong fan of Middlesbrough FC, where she was a childhood season ticket holder.
