Apurva Deshpande is currently a Senior Software Engineer II at Rightmove with 7 years of front-end development experience. She works within the Data Services team, empowering Rightmove partners to leverage our property data for valuations, property market trends, bespoke analysis and much more.

While completing her MSci Physics degree from Imperial College London, she realised that her true calling was more aligned with writing code than writing lab reports and she pivoted towards a career in software development. Following two years on the MThree Alumni Graduate program, contracting at Morgan Stanley in Glasgow, Apurva spent a further three years in the Morgan Stanley London offices before taking on a role at Rightmove. From FX trading and execution platforms to web apps for surveyors, lenders and property investors, she has had a colourful range of experiences working on complex business-critical apps of different scales.

Apurva's specialisation is in Angular, React, TypeScript and NodeJS, though she has also dabbled with some backend development using Java and Spring Boot. Outside of work, she specialises in spoiling her dog, reading, knitting and gaming (not usually at the same time).
