Firstly, please introduce yourself
My name is Anni Feng. I am a chartered engineer in the UK and I lead the healthcare business as part of the UKIMEA Digital Services Portfolio at Arup. I champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in engineering and volunteer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
What are you looking forward to at Women of Silicon Roundabout?
I am super excited about this event! I am really looking forward to meeting all the attendees in person and to exchanging ideas.
What advice would you give to someone looking to step up their career in tech?
Be bold and go for it!
What do you see as the biggest challenge currently facing women in technology?
We need more allies and active bystanders to champion change and actions.
The theme of the event is Resilience, what does resilience mean to you?
I love a quote from Maya Angelou that says “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it”. Resilience to me is about adapting and bouncing back stronger.
Finally, what can attendees expect from your session at Women of Silicon Roundabout?
A perspective from an engineer and an EDI champion on how to embed EDI principles into our everyday work to shape a better world.
Join Anni Feng for her session “Why Do We Want To Shape A Better World?” at Women of Silicon Roundabout on 22-23rd November.
